Many of the cursive writing models taught in smaller British schools are produced using Linkpen Handwriting Fonts by Joined Up Resources Ltd. Joined Up Resources Ltd was founded in 2009 to provide low-budget teaching resources, and support schools to produce their own teaching materials.
Linkpen Handwriting Fonts offer a wide range of styles that make it possible to create teaching exercises in modern cursive writing. Their catalogue features over 40 font styles with variations such as letter shapes, descender and ascender loops, partially or fully joining, with or without lead-in strokes, and with print capital letters or cursive ones. Slanted versions of each model are also available. The typefaces have narrow and simplified uppercase letters and numerals, and rounder lowercase shapes.
